The NSS unit of Pillai HOC Arts, Science and Commerce collaborated with Nature’s Club and organized Trekking to Sinhagad Fort, Pune. As we reached there we started our Trekking at 11:00 a.m. in morning to enjoy the preachy breeze and astounding scenery. One of the NSS faculty members Priyesh Keekan Sir had shared the history of the Fort. We started our trek from base village Thoptewadi at 12:00 p.m. We explored the points such as Pune Darwaza, Kalyan Darwaza, Tanaji Memorial, Lokmanya Tilak Wada and Tofkhana. As part of Swachh Abhiyan, NSS volunteers took initiative in cleaning fort surroundings. We ended our trek with the interaction with the tribal people and recognized the circumstances they face.
