The Department of B.Com. (Accounting and Finance) in association with Placement Cell had organised an ‘Alumni Talk’ on Monday, 3rd May 2021 for the benefit of the Third Year students as an eye opener for them as to which stream they can choose and to have clarity on the scope of each and every stream of specialization offered for the Accounting & Finance students.
The key speakers of the event were Mr. Sahil Naik and Mr. Abhishek Pandey. Both the alumni addressed the students regarding the industry expectation on their domain expertise. The skills required to be acquired by the students in their domain was conveyed to the students. It was also discussed on how to harness the required skill set. They also threw light on the scope of the streams that are available with the course. They also added on the benefits of various online courses available to enhance the student’s skill set with respect to the finance stream.
The session ended with a Question and Answer session and a formal Vote of Thanks.

The Film, Drama and Music Club and Faculty of Arts in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised an interactive discussion on Career Opportunities in the Field of Acting and Editing (Part of Alumni’s Contribution) with college alumni and filmmaker, Mr. Shreyash Jadhav on 6th March, 2021 between 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Mr. Shreyas Jadhav, a B.M.S. (Bachelor in Management Studies) graduate from Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, is an active filmmaker who entered the industry in 2015. His first film was ‘Phoenix’ after which he went to make ‘Ek Cup Coffee’, ‘Guilt’, ‘Rakshasutra’, ‘Nostalgia’, ‘Chocolate’ and more. He runs his own production house ‘Halti Chitra’ based in Khopoli and also works as a Creative Director with Media company ‘Just a Thought’.
The main objective of the event was to help students participate in an active discussion with an experienced filmmaker who was more than available to share his own experiences and expertise on the subject.
The discussion was lively with Mr. Jadhav’s perspective on Indian and International cinema along with his own experience in acting, editing and filmmaking.
Mr. Prathmesh Gokhale, Assistant Professor, Department of Arts, hosted the event.
The interactive discussion was held on Zoom and 33 students participated in the event.

On Wednesday 27th January, 2021 a Guest Lecture was organised for the students of S.Y. B.Com. to add up their knowledge of Business Law. The Guest Speaker was Mr. Pratik Patil is a practicing advocate. Mr. Pratik is also our dear alumni.
Mr. Pratik discussed practical case studies with the students. It helped the students to understand the legal provisions in companies Act 2003. The need and importance of legal provisions was also shared with students. Mainly some important cases dealing with business were very interesting.
The event ended with formal vote of thanks.

The Department of Chemistry of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Rasayani organised an Alumnae Talk on “Anti Nuclear Day” in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell on 11th August, 2020.
Ms. Pragati Gogade, batch 2017-18 and Ms. Neha Verma, batch 2018-19 delivered Talk on Atomic Bombings on Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
T.Y. B.Sc. and S.Y. B.Sc. students attended the event which was scheduled on Google Meet.

To mark the Golden Jubilee Year of Mahatma Education Society, Departments of Information Technology and Computer Science, Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Rasayani in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organised “A Day for Discussion: An interactive Session with Alumni” on 25th July, 2020.
The session was hosted by the following alumni students of our college.

The event got an overwhelming response where around 93 students from the IT/CS department attended the session. The interactive session was conducted on ‘Gmeet’ wherein alumni students shared their personal industrial experience with T.Y. students and gave insight about placement and how to cope with this pandemic situation.

The Department of Multimedia and Mass Communication, PHCASC organised an Inter-College Webinar on the topic Film Making titled ‘Beginners Guide to Film-Making. It was a student’s initiative to share their experience in the field, covering every aspect from Script Writing to Final Editing.
There was a total of 6 topics covered in a span of 1 week from 13th to 18th July, 2020. These sessions were hosted by Alumnae & teachers, each sharing their respective experience and making it as interactive as possible.

Departments of Arts and Placement Cell association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) have successfully organised Alumni Guidance Session on 29th April, 2021.
In the event our alumnus Mst. Sumer Pawar presented a presentation on the Topic – Parts of Speech. He guided our students about various parts of speech like Noun, Adjective, Preposition, Conjunction.
The session was very informative and inspiring for the current students of the department of Arts.
The session ended with a Vote of Thanks by our faculty Prof. Priyesh Raghvan.
We owe a great deal of gratitude to Dr. Lata Menon, Principal, PHCASC for her constant support and guidance. We would like to place on record appreciation towards our Vice-Principal Mr. Binit Sir.
