Event Overview:
The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science, and Commerce organized a “Swacha Sankalp” at Wasambewadi as the second day of the cleanliness drive. Students, volunteers, and villagers actively participated, spreading the message of hygiene, responsibility, and care for the environment.
Program Flow and Activities:
The event began with a short gathering, followed by activities like street sweeping, plastic collection, and waste segregation. Volunteers also interacted with the villagers, encouraging them to reduce plastic use and maintain cleanliness. A cleanliness drive added awareness in an engaging way.
Role of NSS Volunteers:
A total of 57 NSS volunteers contributed to the program’s success. From managing equipment to guiding villagers and performing in the skit, their teamwork and discipline ensured smooth and impactful execution.
Leadership and Guidance:
The event was conducted under the guidance of Program Officers of NSS Ms. Kalavati Ma’am and Ms.Anita Ma’am, whose direction and encouragement kept the volunteers motivated.
Conclusion:
Swacha Sankalp at Wasambewadi was a meaningful step towards community cleanliness. It not only improved the local surroundings but also inspired a sense of responsibility and unity among both students and villagers.
