SRD Camp

The State Level SRD Camp was held at mumbai with the objective of selecting disciplined and dedicated NSS volunteers for participation in the Republic Day Parade and other national-level programs. From PHCASC, our volunteer, Bhumik Gholap , actively participated in the camp. The program aimed to develop physical fitness, discipline, leadership qualities, and a sense of national integration among volunteers. The camp provided a structured environment that encouraged personal growth and collective responsibility. Overall, the camp served as an important platform for nurturing committed NSS volunteers.

  • Days 1–2: Induction & Selection Arrival at the camp, uniform distribution, and initial screening. Volunteers are grouped based on height and marching ability to form the final contingent.
  • Days 3–7: Rigorous Training & Integration The core period involves 8+ hours of daily drill at Shivaji Park. Afternoons feature academic lectures on leadership, while evenings are for cultural competitions showcasing regional folk arts.
  • Days 8–9: Dress Rehearsals Participation in Full Dress Rehearsals with the police and military bands to ensure perfect synchronization for the live event.
  • Day 10: The Grand Parade The final march-past before the Governor and Chief Minister, followed by a certificate ceremony and departure.
