The Faculty of Science, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) and the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), successfully organized the National Conference on “Spectra 2025: Exploring the Spectrum of Scientific Research (ESSR 2025–26)” on 19th December 2025. The conference served as a significant academic platform to bring together researchers, academicians, and students from across the country to deliberate on recent advancements, emerging challenges, and future directions in the core areas of basic sciences, namely Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and life sciences.

The conference commenced with an inaugural keynote session delivered by Dr. Som Datta Kaushik, who eloquently highlighted the importance of fundamental scientific research, with special emphasis on neutron diffraction and its role in advancing scientific understanding. The keynote address set an inspiring and intellectually stimulating tone for the entire event.

The technical sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation and scholarly presentations by researchers and postgraduate students. The sessions were judiciously evaluated by Dr. Vishakha Gajghate, Department of Physics, Pillai HOC College of Engineering and Technology, who served as the judge for the technical session. Her insightful observations, fair assessment, and constructive feedback were highly appreciated by the participants and the organizing committee.

As part of the conference proceedings, outstanding research contributions were recognized. Ms. Adithya won Best Paper Award for an excellent research presentation.

The conference concluded on a solemn note with a vote of thanks, acknowledging the contributions of all speakers, judges, participants, and organizers, followed by the National Anthem. The organizing team extends its deepest gratitude to Principal Dr. Rinkoo Shantnu for her constant encouragement, guidance, and unwavering support, which played a crucial role in the successful organization of the conference. Sincere thanks are also due to Vice Principal Prof. Binit Kumar for his valuable support and cooperation throughout the event.
