Institutional Social Responsibility Cell (PHCASC) in association with Patalganga river and environment conservation charitable trust had organised a Rally against use of plastic on 13th August, 2022, on the occasion of Independence day.
Objective of this activity to create awareness and encouraging stakeholders to avoid use of plastic covers and bags that cause damage to the environment.
In a bid to reduce plastic pollution, the government of Maharashtra published a circular which states that manufacture, import, stocking, distribution, sale and use of identify single use plastic (SUP) items shall be prohibited with effect from 1st July, 2022.
On the occasion of independence day and Azadi ka Amrut Mohastav students of our institution organised a rally for awareness of the above mentioned circular. Under the guidance of Ms. Anita Mhatre students start rally from Police station of Mohopada.
The students did announcements about the Azadi ka Amrut Mohastav, Har ghar Tiranga and Ban on Single Use Plastic. Students distributed paper bags to shopkeepers and hawkers and requested them to not use plastic anymore.
Rally ended on a positive note.
