On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, the NSS volunteers of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized homemade Rakhi selling stalls in the college campus. The event was conducted under the guidance and support of the Programme Officer Ms. Kalavati Upadhyay and Ms. Anita Mhatre.
Many NSS volunteers prepared beautiful and creative Rakhi’s by hand, which were displayed and sold at the stalls. The initiative received great response as several faculty members, non-teaching staff, the Principal Ma’am, and students purchased the Rakhi’s. The money collected from the sales is being used for the welfare of an old age home located near the college.
In addition to buying Rakhi’s, many people voluntarily donated money, further supporting the noble cause. This activity not only helped raise funds but also encouraged students to showcase their creativity and teamwork.
The event was a huge success, spreading the message of care, love, and social responsibility among the students and staff.
