The seminar aimed to create awareness among students about intellectual property rights, copyright laws, and ethical issues related to software development and coding practices.

The resource person for the session was Adv. Rohini Kalyankar, Assistant Professor at B.C.T Law College, New Panvel, holding an LL.M in Constitutional Law. She provided valuable insights into the legal aspects of software ownership, copyright protection, plagiarism, and infringement issues in the digital world.

During the session, the speaker explained:

  • The concept of copyright in software and digital content
  • Ownership rights in programming and project development
  • Common copyright infringement issues in coding
  • Importance of ethical coding practices
  • Legal consequences of unauthorized use of digital resources

Students actively participated in the session and asked questions related to open-source software, plagiarism in projects, and protection of their own digital work.

The seminar proved to be highly informative and helped students understand the importance of legal awareness and ethical responsibility in the field of computer science and software development.
