The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce organised a clothes distribution drive in the village. The clothes distributed among the villagers were collected by volunteers from their friends and from their neighborhood. The main objective behind the donation drive is “that many among India’s poor and underprivileged lack adequate clothing and to give an underprivileged person a pair of clothes is as good as dressing him / her with self-respect”. So, the PHCASC NSS Unit took this step to give self respect by providing clothes to 100 families of villages in which all the families co-operated in a good way which also kept the volunteers motivated throughout the drive. The drive ended with giving chocolates to children of the village. The villagers were so happy and gave blessings to the whole NSS team and the volunteers learnt that “happiness doesn’t result from what we get but from what we give”.
