

Event Overview:
The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Rasyani (Autonomous) in association with the Government Blood Bank of MGM Kalamboli, organized a Blood Donation Camp on 25th November, 2025. The event was conducted in the Engineering Lobby which is well suited for the ventilation and to arrange a setup. The main aim of the event was to encourage students and staff to contribute towards the noble cause of saving lives through blood donation. The atmosphere remained positive and energetic throughout the day, with students coming forward wholeheartedly to participate.
Program Flow and Activities:
The event began with Saraswati Poojan and lamp lighting, performed in the presence of our Principal Dr. Rinkoo Shantnu and the In-charge from MGM Blood Bank, Mr. Lalit Patil. Their presence added a sense of warmth and encouragement to the initiative.Following the inauguration, the entire team from MGM was felicitated by our principal as a gesture of appreciation for their service and contribution.
To ensure maximum participation, promotional activities were carried out across the college premises with the help of posters and banners designed to catch attention and spread awareness. Students from different departments, along with teaching and non-teaching staff, actively took part in the drive.
Throughout the event, refreshments were provided to all donors, and every donor was given personal attention by both the MGM medical team and our NSS volunteers. Their care and coordination helped create a comfortable and safe environment for everyone involved.
By the end of the camp, over 60 donors successfully donated blood, making the event a meaningful and impactful success. All donors were presented with appreciation certificates to acknowledge their valuable contribution in such noble initiative.
Role of NSS Volunteers:
The 40 NSS volunteers worked tirelessly to ensure smooth organization of the camp. They helped with donor registration, guided participants, maintained queues, assisted the medical team, and ensured that every donor felt supported. Their enthusiasm, discipline, and teamwork played a key role in the seamless conduct of the entire program.
Leadership and Guidance:
The blood donation camp was conducted under the valuable guidance of NSS Program Officers Ms. Kalavati Upadhyay and Mrs. Anita Mhatre, whose constant support and direction helped in executing the event effectively. Their encouragement motivated the volunteers to give their best throughout the day.
Conclusion:
The Blood Donation Camp ended on a very positive note, with more than 60 donors stepping forward to contribute to this life-saving cause. The combined efforts of the MGM team, NSS volunteers, faculty, and enthusiastic students made the event truly successful. The initiative not only promoted the importance of blood donation but also strengthened the spirit of social responsibility within the campus community.
