Event Overview:

The NSS Unit and Traffic Safety Campaign students of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce(Autonomous), Rasayani, organized a public awareness rally for Road Safety on 21th June 2025. The initiative aimed to develop students as a national power by focusing on the critical role road safety plays in national development.

Program Flow and Activities:

The rally commenced from the college campus, featuring students marching while chanting impactful slogans. The awareness drive targeted both two-wheeler riders and four-wheeler drivers, emphasizing crucial habits such as the “NO HORN” initiative and the dangers of using high-beam lights on highways. Participants actively engaged with the public to provide essential road safety information and promote responsible driving behavior.

Role of NSS Volunteers:

The NSS volunteers were instrumental in the execution of the rally, leading the procession and ensuring the message reached a wide audience. They took charge of shouting slogans, spreading specific safety guidelines to commuters, and maintaining the flow of the rally to ensure maximum public visibility.

Leadership and Guidance:

The event was successfully organized under the leadership of the college administration, with dedicated coordination from the NSS Programme Officer Miss. Kalavati Upadhayay and Mrs. Anita Mhatre and the Traffic Safety Campaign student leaders, ensuring the objective of civic responsibility was met.

Conclusion:

The primary objective of the rally was to empower students to advocate for a safer society. By educating the public on road etiquette and safety measures, the event aimed to foster a culture of mindfulness that contributes to a more secure and developed nation.
