Freshers Day 2025

The Freshers’ Day celebration at Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Rasayani,(Autonomous) organised by Cultural Association and Student Council in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell, commenced with a heart-warming welcome extended by the second-year students to the incoming first-year students. To symbolize the start of this exciting journey, a lamp lighting ceremony was conducted, signifying the passing of knowledge and wisdom from one generation to the next.

The “Mr. and Miss Fresher” contest was undeniably the day’s high point. The candidates’ poise, wit, and stage presence were put to the test over the course of three rounds of this captivating competition. The participants thoroughly amused the audience by showcasing their distinctive personalities and skills. The competition gave the newcomers a chance to show off their abilities while also fostering a sense of community among the competitors.

A showcase of outstanding dance routines and lovely tunes followed the main event. The acts held the audience’s attention and brought some vivacity to the celebration.

A vote of appreciation was given as the celebration came to a close to all those who had helped organize Freshers’ Day so well. This included the event’s planning team, attendees, entertainers, and the college teachers that helped make the event happen.

To conclude the celebration on a high note, refreshments were arranged for all attendees. The Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Rasayani’s Freshers’ Day celebration in 2025 was essentially a fusion of warmth, talent, and togetherness.

Freshers Day 2019

Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce organized fresher’s day celebrations for the students who enrolled themselves in the academic year 2019-20 on 20th July, 2019. The event started off with a lamp lighting ceremony by Acting-Vice Principal Mr. Sumeet Mhatre, cultural committee members and student organising team. This was followed by a welcome dance. To introduce and provide information on various co-curricular and extra-curricular activities organised by our college, a documentary film was also showcased for the newcomers.

The celebrations continued with some amazing dance, music and special talent performances of the second year students. Students from first year also participated enthusiastically and full-fledgedly. The event had seven dance performances and three singing performances that were so energetic and entertaining. The talent showcased by the students created an electrifying ambiance. Singers and instrument players stole the heart of the people with a stand out music performance by a band of first year students. The anchors of the show kept the audiences engaged throughout the event. Their amazing comic timings and interactive skills was highly appreciated.
