On 14 January 2026, a Department of Lifelong Learning & Extension activity titled “Status of Women in Society – DLLE Social Survey” was conducted with the participation of DLLE students. The purpose of the activity was to understand and study the current status, challenges, and opportunities faced by women in society. As part of the event, the students carried out a social survey by interacting with people and collecting their views on various aspects related to women’s education, employment, safety, rights, and social equality. The students prepared simple survey questions and gathered responses from the community to understand how society perceives the role and position of women today. Through this activity, the participants learned about important social issues such as gender equality, women’s empowerment, and the need to improve opportunities and respect for women in different areas of life. The survey also helped students develop communication skills and social awareness while engaging with the community. Overall, the activity was informative and meaningful, as it encouraged students to think critically about the status of women and the importance of promoting equality and respect in society.
