The Faculty of Science( B.Sc. ,M.Sc. Physics and M.Sc.-Organic Chemistry) of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Rasayani in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) and Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) organized an insightful IPR Talk on the topic “Intellectual Property Right for Science, Innovation and Entrepreneurship”.The session was delivered by the esteemed resource person, Dr. Aniruddha Balkrishna Patil who is currently serving as an Assistant Professor at Maharshi Dayanand College, Parel with 44 international publications in leading journals, over 2,000 citations, an H-index of 25, and 11 patents to his credit. The session was delivered by Patil sir in IPR who provided detailed insights into legal aspects, filing procedures, and recent developments in intellectual property laws. The speaker emphasized the importance of protecting research outputs and creative works. Faculty member’s undergraduate and postgraduate students actively participated in the program. The session included an interactive question-and-answer segment, where participants clarified their doubts regarding patent searches, documentation, and legal protection. The event successfully achieved its objective of promoting awareness about Intellectual Property Rights and fostering a culture of innovation and research within the institution. A total of 35 students and 27 staff benefited from this event. The college extends its gratitude to Dr. Aniruddha Balkrishna Patil for his expert guidance and insightful session.
