The NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce(Autonomous), Rasayani organized the 26/11 Memorial & Constitution Day to honor the brave soldiers, police personnel, and innocent citizens who lost their lives during the tragic 26/11 attacks. The program was also conducted to celebrate the spirit and pride of the Indian Constitution. The entire ambiance of the auditorium reflected respect, unity, and remembrance as the students and faculties came together for this noble cause.
Program Flow and Activities:
The event began with a welcome address by the anchors, followed by a candle lighting ceremony as a tribute to the martyrs of 26/11. A condolence segment was observed to honor the brave soldiers and civilians who sacrificed their lives.
A touching speech was delivered by Vedanti, highlighting the events of 26/11 and the courage of the security forces. This was followed by a song performed by the NSS girls’ singing group.
The second part of the event focused on Constitution Day which started with a speech by Nishanthini on the importance of the Indian Constitution. The anchors led the Preamble reading, and the event moved towards conclusion with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Kalavati Upadhayay.
Role of NSS Volunteers:
A team of 60 volunteers actively assisted in organizing the event. They supported in stage arrangements, managing the flow of the candle tribute, guiding students and guests, and maintaining discipline throughout the event. Their coordination, effort, and teamwork ensured that the program was conducted smoothly and respectfully.
Leadership and Guidance:
The event was graced by our Principal, Dr. Rinkoo Shantanu along with other faculty members, showing their support and encouragement for the meaningful initiative. The program was conducted smoothly under the leadership and guidance of Program Officers Ms. Kalavati Upadhayay and Mrs. Anita Mhatre, ensuring proper coordination and execution throughout.
Conclusion:
The 26/11 Memorial & Constitution Day event concluded with a strong message of respect, remembrance, and national pride. It served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by our brave soldiers and also emphasized the value of our Constitution and democratic principles. With the efforts of volunteers, coordinators, and faculty members, the event successfully created an atmosphere of unity, patriotism, and gratitude.
