A 7 days long NSS Camp was organized by the NSS unit of PHCASC, Rasayani from 17th December 2025 to 23th December 2025.
This report summarizes a seven-day NSS camp undertaken by a group of volunteers. This camp was aimed at fostering social responsibility among the volunteers and contributing to the welfare of nearby communities through various initiatives. Fifty enthusiastic NSS volunteers participated in the camp, and activities were systematically planned and executed day by day.

The seven-day residential camp organized by the NSS Unit of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce (Autonomous), Rasayani, was a resounding success. Through initiatives focusing on cleanliness, nutrition, health awareness, and social welfare, blood, medical donation , yoga session, ralley about awareness the camp made a significant impact on the lives of the local communities.

For the volunteers, the camp was an enriching experience that fostered a deeper understanding of social issues, teamwork, and the value of community service. The lessons learned and the bonds formed during this camp will undoubtedly inspire them to continue contributing to society in meaningful ways. This camp stands as a testament to the power of collective action and the positive change that can be achieved through dedication and empathy.

First Day- 17th December 2025 : Camp Set-Up, Orientation, and Group Formation

The camp began with the arrival of volunteers at the designated campsite. The first task was cleaning the camp area, ensuring a clean, organized, and hygienic environment for all participants. This activity set the tone for the camp, instilling a sense of discipline and teamwork among the volunteers.

Following the cleaning, an orientation session was conducted by the NSS coordinators. The session included a detailed discussion about the objectives of the camp, the importance of community service, and the schedule of activities planned for the next seven days. Volunteers were encouraged to actively participate in all tasks, emphasizing the values of teamwork, leadership, and social responsibility.

Later, the 50 volunteers were systematically divided into 5 groups. This division ensured that each group had a mix of skills and talents to carry out their assigned responsibilities effectively. Team leaders were appointed to facilitate coordination and communication. The day concluded with group discussions and team-building exercises, which helped establish rapport among team members.

Second Day – 18th December 2025 : Cleanliness Drive in Adivashi Pada and Road Safety skit in Mazgaon Village

The second day of the NSS camp focused on cleanliness and road safety awareness. In the morning session, the volunteers visited Adivashi Pada, where they conducted an extensive cleanliness drive. The activity included sweeping streets, cleaning public areas, collecting scattered waste, and segregating dry and wet garbage. The volunteers also cleared roadside debris and educated local residents about the importance of maintaining hygiene and a clean environment.

In the afternoon, the volunteers organized a road safety awareness skit for the villagers. Through an engaging and informative skit, the volunteers highlighted important road safety rules such as wearing helmets, following traffic signals, avoiding mobile phone usage while driving, and ensuring pedestrian safety. The skit effectively conveyed the message in a simple and entertaining manner, making it easy for people of all age groups to understand. The day concluded with positive interaction between volunteers and villagers, leaving a strong impact on cleanliness awareness and road safety consciousness.

Third-Day – 19th December 2025 : Clothes bag/ Blanket distribution in Mazgaon village

The third day of the NSS camp began with a morning prayer and yoga session, which helped energize the volunteers and created a sense of discipline and unity. The day focused on environmental awareness and social welfare activities in Mazgaon Village. In the morning, volunteers conducted a cloth bag distribution drive to promote eco-friendly practices and reduce the use of plastic bags. They interacted with villagers and explained the harmful effects of plastic pollution. This was followed by a Plastic Ban Rally, during which volunteers carried placards and raised slogans to spread awareness about banning single-use plastics and protecting the environment.

In the afternoon, the volunteers organized a blanket distribution activity in Mazgaon Village to support underprivileged and elderly residents. Blankets were distributed to provide warmth and comfort, reflecting the volunteers’ spirit of compassion and social responsibility. The day concluded on a positive and meaningful note, as the combined activities successfully promoted environmental conservation while addressing the basic needs of the local community.

Fourth Day – 20th December 2025 : Clothes bag/ Blanket distribution in Vanivali village, cleaning a school area, Yoga session, Ralley on Enviroment conservation and ‘Dar mukti’ skit

The fourth day of the NSS camp focused on health awareness, social responsibility, and environmental conservation. The day began with a morning yoga session, promoting physical and mental well-being among the volunteers. Later, the volunteers visited Vahivali Village and carried out a cloth bag and blanket distribution drive. Cloth bags were distributed to encourage eco-friendly practices and reduce plastic usage, while blankets were given to underprivileged residents as a gesture of care and support.

In the afternoon, a school cleaning activity was conducted in Mazgaon, during which classrooms and surrounding areas were cleaned to promote hygiene. Later, the volunteers presented a Daru Mukti skit to create awareness about the harmful effects of alcohol addiction. This was followed by a rally on environmental conservation, where volunteers spread awareness through slogans and placards.

Fifth Day – 21th December 2025 : School Painting / Temple Painting in Ambivli and Pamplet distribution For Blood Donation and Medical Camp

The fifth day of the NSS camp was dedicated to community development and health awareness. The volunteers visited Ambivali, where they carried out school painting and temple painting activities. Classrooms, walls, and temple premises were painted to enhance cleanliness, aesthetics, and create a positive environment for students and devotees. The activity encouraged teamwork among volunteers and contributed to improving public spaces in the village.

Later, the volunteers conducted pamphlet distribution on blood donation, spreading awareness about its importance and health benefits. In addition, a medical camp was organized in collaboration with healthcare professionals, where villagers received basic health check-ups and medical guidance. The day concluded successfully, as the activities promoted cleanliness, public welfare, and health awareness within the community.

Sixth Day – 22th December 2025 : Blood donation /Medical Camp and Teaching in Gram Panchayat School

The final day of the NSS camp was dedicated to education and health care services for the community. The day began with the volunteers visiting the Gram Panchayat school, where they conducted teaching sessions for school students. Volunteers helped students with basic subjects, encouraged learning through interactive methods, and motivated them to focus on education and personal development. The sessions created a positive learning environment and strengthened the bond between the volunteers and students.

Later in the day, a medical and blood treatment donation camp was organized in collaboration with healthcare professionals. Villagers received basic health check-ups, medical advice, and necessary treatment. Information about blood donation and its importance was also shared with the community. The camp benefited many residents and raised awareness about health and preventive care, bringing the seven-day NSS camp to a meaningful and impactful conclusion.

Last Day – 23th December 2025 : The Final Day of the camp

The final day of the NSS camp marked the conclusion of the seven-day residential program. No activities were conducted on this day. In the morning, the volunteers packed their belongings and prepared to return to their respective homes. Before departure, the volunteers shared brief feedback and reflections on their experiences during the camp.

The camp concluded peacefully as the volunteers departed in the morning, carrying with them valuable lessons of social responsibility, teamwork, and community service. The seven-day NSS camp ended successfully, leaving a lasting impact on both the volunteers and the community.
