The Women Development Cell (WDC) of Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, Rasayani in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), organized a Zumba Workshop- A Step To Fitness on April 23, 2022.

Ms. Vaishakhi Nair, was the resource person for the event. The Zumba workshop was a dance based exercise form that was supposed to seem more like a dance party than a workout. The workout combined all elements of fitness like cardio, conditioning balance, flexibility and energy booster. There was a feeling of exhilaration and amazement at the end of the session.

A person burns approximately 600 calories per hour, increases self esteem, reduces stress, builds endurance and co-ordination, strengthens lungs and heart, and tones the muscle. All of this was done in the form of a dance without feeling the pain of a workout.

The workshop was exclusively organised for all teaching and non-teaching staff of PHCASC.
