Research and Development Cell in association with Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) has successfully organised a session of expert talks on space science on 31st May, 2021. Dr. Kuldeep Pandey, Post-Doctoral fellow at Department of Physics and Engineering Physics, University of Saskatchewan, Canada and in house speaker Dr. Jayanta Kumar Behera from department of Physics, Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, were the respected resource persons for this event. Our resource persons elucidated the delegates about space science.

Both the speakers shared their expertise and experiences of space research and Antarctica stay. The session was very edifying and illuminating and it benefited delegates with the profound knowledge of space science. Dr. Kuldeep Pandey talked about rocket based observations, EEJ changes, CME and ionospheric changes and radio wave propagations. Dr. Jayanta Kumar Behera explained the horizon of Space physics, latitudinal aspects of Space Science, location of Antarctica, important facts about Antarctica and experiments carried out at Antarctica. Sir has also explained the concept of aurora formation and cause of ozone hole in detail. The webinar culminated with a question and answer session and positive feedback from the participants. We owe a great deal of gratitude to Dr. Lata Menon, Principal, PHCASC for her constant support and guidance. We would like to place on record appreciation towards our Vice-Principal Mr. Binit Sir.
